Rodney H. Gourley, 71, of Rte 957 Sugar Grove, PA, passed away Saturday, October 27th, doing what he loved to do, working at the Gourley Farms on Rte 957. Rodney was born in Jamestown, NY on September 7, 1941, a son of the late Nellie R. (Springer) and Herbert H. Gourley. His life was farming where he enjoyed taking care of the animals and his dog. He loved to go county fairs where he particularly enjoyed the pig shows. He loved living at the Gourley Farms and working with his cousin, Dean Gourley. He had also formerly been employed at PennDot for 18 years.
He survived by a brother, Dale E. Gourley, of Hessell Valley Road, Sugar Grove; a nephew Todd Gourley, also of Hessell Valley Road; a niece, Tina Johnson, of 957 Sugar Grove, and 4 great nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rosemary Gourley Henry.
