Douglas Dilker, Sr. Obituary

Douglas E. Dilker, Sr. of High Acres, Bemus Point, N.Y., passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Heritage Green Rehab & Skilled Nursing, Greenhurst, N.Y. Doug was well cared for and loved by all the staff.

Douglas was born August 17, 1937 in Warren, PA, the son of the late Byron H. and Ethel Mae Fiscus Dilker.

Doug was a graduate of Eisenhower High School class of 1955. He grew up in Lander, PA with his parents and 7 siblings.

Doug married his wife Marlene Mansfield on February 22, 1958. Doug and Marlene made their home in Lakewood, N.Y. with their 3 children.

Doug worked at many places, starting at AVM Voting Machine in Jamestown and Sequia Pacific in Jamestown until his retirement. Doug also worked at Celoron Legion for many years during the 1980’s. Doug’s great joy in life was his family and Buffalo Bills.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife: Marlene Mansfield  (2018); his son: Douglas L. Dilker, Jr; his son-in-law: Kevin R. Vik (2022); 4 brothers: Kay Dilker, Charles Dilker, Dennis Dilker and Robert Dilker; 2 sisters: Susan Gray and Jeanne O’Shell.

Doug is survived by 2 daughters: Diane (David) Key of Kennedy, N.Y. and Darla Vik of Bemus Point, N.Y.; his son: Robert “Peanut” (Janis) Nau of Texas; his sister: Sally Pillittieri of Flager Beach, FL; his grandchildren: Michael (Amy) Key, Kevin D. (Lucy) Vik, Ryan (Anna) Vik, Shannon (Dennis) Simmons, Dustin (Sarah) Dilker, Andrew (Megan) Vik, Daisha L. Dilker, Kay E. Dilker and Cole M. Vik; 10 great-grandchildren: Morgan and Mason Vik, Aaron and Joshua Simmons, Shawn, Kyle and Anna Dilker, Haydon and Braylon Vik and Trippe Dilker and many nieces and nephews.

Family suggests memorial contributions be made to GA Family Services, 210 Gustavus Avenue, Jamestown, N.Y. 14701.

No services will be held.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to McKinney Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 54 W. Main Street, Youngsville, PA 16371.
