Frank  Hopshire, 87, of Grass Flats Blvd.,  Warren, PA passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at home where he wanted to be with his family. Born on May 18, 1931, in Washington County, PA, he was the son of the late John  and Julia (Mosqua) Upshy. Frank graduated from East Bethlehem High School, Fredericktown, PA, and then went on to trade school in Chicago to become an electrician where he belonged to Local 134 in Chicago and then joined Local 56 in Erie.  He belonged to the Knights of Columbus and Brokenstraw Rod and Gun Club.  He was an avid antique collector and Pittsburgh Steeler's Fan,   enjoyed archery, attending auctions, having garage sales, wheeling and dealing, camping, fishing, and hunting.  After retiring, he enjoyed repairing small engines,  and picking wild mushrooms.  He loved his dogs and telling wild  stories that people thought were stories but they were truths.  He loved to compete in the Tidioute State  Fishing Tournament. He enjoyed family gatherings and family pocker games.

Surviving is his wife,  Mary  (Hupp) Hopshire with whom he recently celebrated his 65th anniversary; 3 Daughters,  Linda  Bone of Palm Harbor, FL, Susan Walkley of Hudson, FL, and Diane (Allen) Galiano of Warren, PA; 2 Sons,   Frank (Nancy) Hopshire  of Warren, PA,  and John (Gail) Hopshire of Houston, TX;   1 Sister,   Ann Hopshire of Fredericktown, PA;  a sister-in-law, Genita Hopshire of Denver, CO; 8 grandchildren,  Jessie Hodges, Jessica Madonia, Bridd Bone,  Gregory Hopshire, Alicia Saporito, Mark Saporito, Taylor Hopshire, Emily Hopshire and a step-grandson, Aaron Molly.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his  brothers and sisters, John (Jean) Hopshire, Mary Ellen Hopshire, Charles Hopshire, Helen Sprowls, George Hopshire and a son-in-law, Arthur Walkley.

Visiting Hours will be held Saturday from 11 am  - 1 pm.   at McKinney Funeral Homes, 54 West Main St.,  Youngsville, PA where a prayer service will follow  at 1 pm on Saturday, December 22, 2018 with Father Rick Tomasone officiating. Graveside Services will follow at  Warren County Memorial Park, Starbrick, PA. The family suggests memorials may be made to Hospice of Warren County.  Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.mckinneyfuneral.com
