Sandra J. Headrick, 76, of Lander, PA, passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, May 21st, 2017.  Sandy was born November 15th, 1940, in Mineral Point, PA.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Headrick, her parents, Lawrence and Maude Bauer, and a sister, June Stepien.

Sandy married her high school sweetheart on March 5, 1960, and enjoyed 38 years of marriage.  Being a military wife and a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, she had the opportunity to travel and live in many places within the country.  She was a member of the American Legion Post 758 and the Sugar Grove Amvets Post 50.  She enjoyed spending time with her family with whom she had a close bond.

Sandy is survived by a sister, Eileen Izzo; five children, Wanda (Dave) Vibbert, Darlene (Mike) Byrd, Kenneth Headrick, Patti (Jim) Butch, and Donna Headrick; nine grandchildren, Rebecca, Emily, Rachael, Jessica, Melissa, Matthew, Taylor, Ryan, and Hailey;  and 3 great grandchildren, Kendra, Cameron and Owen.

There will be a private family service and burial in Pine Grove Cemetery.  The Sugar Grove Branch of McKinney Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Inc. have been entrusted with all arrangements.  For online condolences, please visit www.mckinneyfuneral.com

Grandma,
You have more strength than anyone I've ever met. You may be gone but you will never be forgotten. You leave memories behind that will never change. You are so loved and you will be missed by so many. May you Rest In Peace, we will all be together again someday.
