Mildred M. Beavers, 103, of  Morehead City, NC and a longtime resident
of Sugar Grove and Youngsville, passed away Monday, March 24th, 2014
at SECU Crystal Coast Hospice House in Newport, NC.

Mildred was born in Bear Lake, PA on November 1, 1910, the daughter of the late Rush and Jessie (Polley) Chapman. She was employed at  Walter Hardware, Young's Furniture, and was self-employed with home care for many families in Warren County, most recently for 29 years for  Dan and Ann Ferman.

She was the widow of William Robert Beavers who died Oct. 19, 1974.
Surviving are a son:  James LeRoy (Norma) Smith of Morehead City, NC;
a sister,   Arlene (Wilbur) Lookenhouse of Lottsville; 2grandchildren, Kimber Lee (Tony) Scavo, Cary, NC and and Kerry Leighton (Patty)Smith of Apex, NC; 4 greatgrandchildren, Nicholas James Scavo, Marisa Ann Scavo,  Payton and Porter Smith and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by
 4 sisters, Marjorie Smouse,  Mable Simms, Pauline Hannold and Geraldine Nyquist; and 3 brothers, Harold Chapman, Charles Chapman and Rush Chapman, Jr.

Friends will be received on Saturday, March 29th from  1-2 pm.  at
McKinney Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Inc., 54 West Main St.
in Youngsville  where a funeral and committal service will be held  at
2 pm   with Rev. Marcus Briggs officiating. Burial will be in Niobe
Cemetery in Niobe, NY and will be private.  Family and friends may

Dr. Smith & Norma,
I just wanted to let you know I was thinking of you all. Mildred lived a long life and is now resting and at peace. Blessings to you all.
