Shirley Beardsley Conklin

Shirley Beardsley Conklin, 83, of East Main St., Youngsville, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Saint Vincent Hospital, Erie, PA. She was born in Bear Lake, PA on May 30, 1933, the daughter of the late Edward and Bertha (Chapman) Jukes. She had been a personal care giver at the Rouse Home, Warren Manor and Hospice of Warren County. She was also formerly employed at Quality Markets and Richards Restaurant  in Youngsville and Sylvania in Warren. Shirley attended Good News Community Church in Warren.  She enjoyed attending the Sunday night music at Full Gospel Church on Pleasant Drive.  She loved traveling, reading, jigsaw puzzels and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.   Surviving are her husband, Russell R. Conklin. whom she married Aug 7, 2004; 3 daughters, Marilyn (Chester) Sheets of Russell, PA, Pam Walters of Warren, PA and Terry (Jeff) McKown of Warren, PA; 2 sons, Willie (Beverly) M. Beardsley of Orange Park, FL and  Phillip R. Beardsley of Youngsville, PA; a sister, Martha Scrivens of Warren, PA, 8 grandchildren,  22 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Murry M. Beardsley who died May 24, 1994; a daughter-in-law, Aida Beardsley; 4 brothers, Max Jukes, Richard Jukes, Duane Jukes and Ernest Jukes; 2 sisters, Lorraine Beardsley and Anna Mae Olka; and 2 step sisters, Lucille Sherlock and Edith Cobb.  Friends will be received Tuesday 6 - 9 pm at McKinney Funeral Homes in Youngsville and Wednesday 10 - 11 am where a funeral service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, June 15th  with Rev. Larry Condron officiating. Burial will follow and will be in Bear Lake Cemetery.
