Lucille "Lucy" Ruth Saunders Irvine

Lucille "Lucy" Ruth Saunders Irvine, 96, of Rte 958 (Wrightsville) Pittsfield, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Corry Manor. She was born on Stilson Hill in Warren County on October 26, 1919, the daughter of the late William Arthur and Bessie  Myrtle (Sanders) Saunders. She graduated from Sugar Grove High School in 1937. She was the widow of Allen M. Irvine. whom she married May 12, 1940 in Chandlers Valley and who preceded her in death on April 30, 1994. Lucille retired from Warren State Hospital where she was a clerk typist.  Prior to that she was employed for 13 years at the Department of Forest and Waters in Warren.   She was a member of  Berea Lutheran Church and Wrightsville Community Church, where she held various offices, taught sunday school and was song leader. She was a member of the Wrightsville Volunteer Fire Department and loved to mow the yard and do crafts. Surviving are a daughter,  Mary Lou Irvine  Kibbey of Pittsfield; a son, William M. (Patricia L.) Irvine of Wrightsville; a sister-in-law, Doris Andress of Youngsville; 8 grandchildren, Keeley Kuzminski, Kelley, Kris, and Corkey  Kibbey, Mark, Luke, and William P. Irvine, and Amy Zelinski;19 great granchildren; 10 great great grandchildren,  and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia A. Irvine, 2 sisters, Rebecca Saunders and Betty Frank  and a brother, William Archie Saunders, a nephew, Billy Saunders, 2 nieces, Annie Gourley and Becky Rowland Stone. Friends will be received on Sunday from 4 - 6 pm  at McKinney Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Inc. where a  funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Monday, January 11th, with Rev.
