Leslie Hanisak

Leslie Ann Hanisak, 74, of Rte 337, Tidioute, passed away on Thursday, March  17, 2022 at UPMC Hamot after a brief illness.   Born July 28, 1947, she was the daughter of the late George and Antoinette Brandt Shelkey.  In addition to her parents, Leslie was preceded in death by her husband John Edward Hanisak March 10, 2021.  Surviving is her daughter, Frances (John) Pressler; 2 granddaughters, Lydia (Tino) Coccarelli and children and Collette (Shane) Huffman and children; and a stepson, John Hanisak, Jr. and children.

Leslie will be remembered by her family and friends for her devotion to her community.  She worked tirelessly in city government in Tidioute, managing events, and especially planning for the Pennsylvania State Fishing Tournament in Tidioute every year. She was Head Cook for many years at the former Tippy Canoe in Tidioute.  She was a member of St. John’s  Catholic Church in Tidioute.
