Jason Johnson

Jason Andrew Johnson, 46, of Ashville, N.Y., passed away peacefully on March 17, 2022.

Jason was born on May 16, 1975 in Warren, PA, the son of Tim A. (Alice) Johnson and Evelyn (Forest) Mack.

Jason graduated from Southwestern Central School in 1993. He was voted “Best Personality”. Following high school, he worked for Johnson and Johnson Roofing, Cummins Engine, and did construction work in North Carolina while residing there. When he moved back to Ashville he started his own business Johnson Roofing and Home Repair.

He was a member of West Jamestown Congregation of Jehovah’s Witness. He had a strong work ethic and maintained a jovial and generous nature through his life.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by many family members: Grandmother Marianne Johnson; his siblings: Timothy M. Johnson, Travis C. (Kelly) Johnson, Mathew K. (Amber) Smith, Leah J. (Roberto) Lopez, Alise A. (Charles) Gibson, Jenyie (Rick) Charney; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Also considered family: Alysha Surles and her daughter Shay.

Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents: Richard and Janet Johnson and Royal V. Johnson.

A funeral will be held at a later date.
