Carol Jean (Durlin) Hazeltine

Carol Jean Durlin Hazeltine, 73, of  (Lottsville) Rte 958, Bear Lake, PA went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, November 4, 2021.  Born December 20, 1948 in Jamestown, NY, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth “Bud” Durlin and Ruth Brittain McKay.  Carol graduated from Corry High School and loved going to Nascar Races and watching football.   She was employed for many years as a Nurses Aide at the Rouse Home in Youngsville.   She married John Hazeltine on November 16, 1974 at the West Springcreek Church who survives her.  In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Jason “Jake” Hazeltine of Lottsville; 3 step-children, Lana (Steve) Barth of Port Allegheny, PA, Sherri (Jon) Clark of Eldred, PA, John (Jeri) Hazeltine, Jr. of Evergreen, CO; 3 sisters, Janet Pierce of Bowling Green, KY, Judy (John) Tabor of Garland and Barb (Chris) Muncee of Corry; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a twin brother, Kenneth Durlin and a stepdad, Neil McKay.  Friends will be received at the Sugar Grove Branch of the  McKinney Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Sugar Grove, PA on Monday from 6 – 8 pm where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday at the funeral home at 1:30 pm.  Burial will be in Lottsville Cemetery and will be private.  The family suggests those wishing to place a memorial may do so to the Lottsville United Methodist Church.  Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.mckinneyfuneral.com
