Alice Hannold Obituary

Alice Mae (Gray) Hannold, 97, of Pittsfield went to her home in heaven Wednesday, June 22, 2022.  Alice was born March 28, 1925 in Garland to the late William and Claudia (McCollough) Gray.  She married the late David Earl Hannold March 20, 1948.  Alice is survived by her 3 children:  Dianne (Richard) Nasman, William (Patty) Hannold and Tina Hannold; grandchildren, Shaun (Jeannie) Nasman, Jason (Arena) Hannold, Jerod (Tracy) Hannold and Erin (Josh) Spargo; great grandchildren, Austin and Devon Nasman, Carmen Hannold, Joseph Hannold, Amber Lawless, Josie and Jensen Spargo; one great-great grandchild, Harper Lawless; and her former daughter-in-law, Becky (Hulings) Hannold.  Alice was so dearly loved by all of us and we will enjoy and cherish our memories of her and with her.  Alice also left behind her beloved cat Teddy Eddie.  He will live with Tina now . . . . good luck Tina at least he likes you!!  Alice was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church in Pittsfield where she taught Sunday School for over 52 years.  The Lord gave her a special talent for teaching children about the Lord.  The family would like to thank all of her caregivers from CRI.  A very sincere thank you for all the love and care she received at Warren Manor.  They always said she was "so cute" which made mom smile.  Also to Alene and Pat, her room mates and now we feel they are "family". Mom enjoyed them so much.  We feel blessed to have had our mother/grandmother for so many years, to have her faith as an example to live our lives by.  We will miss her but she is free of pain and happy with her Lord.  Friends will be received for a time of viewing and visitation at the Otterbein Church, Dahlrymple Street in Pittsfield on Monday, June 27, 2022 from 11:30 am to 1 pm at which time a funeral service will be held.  Burial will follow in Garland Methodist Cemetery and will be private.  Memorial donations may be made to Otterbein United Methodist Church  The McKinney Funeral Home in Youngsville has been entrusted with all arrangements.  "It was a nice day to go to Heaven."
