Doug B. Kingsbury, 66, of Rte 957, Sugar Grove, died at home unexpectedly on Friday, April 17, 2020.  Born December 27, 1953, in Jamestown, NY, he was the son of the late Orvis and Carolyn Gustafson Kingsbury.  He married Pam Main Kingsbury on November 27, 1971, in Cherry Creek, NY, who survives him.  Doug owned and operated Kingsbury Trucking in Sugar Grove since 2001.  He will be remembered as a wonderful husband and Dad, one who had a very generous spirit.  Doug loved people and always gave everyone a "special nickname".  He was an avid horseman and he really loved his semi's.  He always looked forward to attending the Mid American Truck Show in Louisville, Kentucky and was fortunate to have attended it for the last 26 years.  In 1996, he was honored to receive the Pride and Polish Award.  He loved spending time with his family and  dearly loved his grandbabies.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Tammi (Justin) Johnson; 3 grandchildren, Ashley, Taylor and Timothy; 1 great-grandaughter, Natalie; 2 brothers, Ken (Jackie) Kingsbury of Youngsville and John (Wendy) Kingsbury of Georgia; 1 sister, Darlene (Dennis) Fisher of Randolph, NY and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Travis Barnett; 2 sisters, Madelyn Crawford and Linda Kingsbury; and a brother, Jeffrey Kingsbury.   Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, a celebration of Doug's Life will be held at a later time to be announced. McKinney Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Inc., 117 Main St., Sugar Grove, PA  have been entrusted with all arrangements.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to you Pam and Tammi. He will be sadly missed by many. Keep his memories close to your hearts, lean on family and friends and let us know if you need anything. In time things will be easier, and even though a piece of your hearts will always be gone.

Pam, Tammi and family,
The world has lost one of the greats. He was always very kind to me and he sure liked to laugh at me. We were riding one day and my saddle did a circle under my horse (with me on it). He laughed so hard than asked me if I was ok (lol). Someone was bad mouthing me and he stood up and defended me. He always had my back. God speed my friend, until we meet again.
Love,
Gael

Pam and Tammi; I am so sorry to hear that Doug passed away. I just couldn't believe it. I haven't seen him recently but I sure do miss him and the conversations we used to always have when he came to bring me an invoice into the office. We would sure have some fun conversations; I will miss him very much.
Your friend,
Michele

A true icon in the trucking world, a awesome supporter, family man, and mentor. No matter where we were displaying at the shows Mr Kingsbury would be there to support us. . . Thank you for your kind words, and contributions to the trucking industry. You are missed, there is a huge void in our hearts this night, as tears fall filled with memories of fun times. To glory on 18 wheels sir, rest well. I know you would get me about saying "Mr Kingsbury" but just this one last time sir.
