Marvin A. Sanders, 65, of Wilson Road, Sugar Grove, PA, died  February 2, 2019 at Buffalo General Hospital.. Born in Jamestown, NY on March 15, 1953, he was the son of the late Robert Townley and Marilyn (Martindale) Sanders. He owned and operated  Sanders Well Service in Sugar Grove. He served in the U.S. Navy in the Vietnam War, was a member of the American Legion, AMVETS,  and he loved to hunt and fish.  Marv was an avid outdoorsman.    

Surviving are two daughters,  Jennifer  (Darin) Milks of Florida and Michele  (Brian Marsh) Sanders of Warren, PA; 4 sisters,  Melanie Peterson of Warren, PA, Sharill Thach of Sugar Grove, PA, Karen Sanders of Kennedy, NY,  and Lorren Sanders of Wyoming; 2 brothers, Charles Sanders and George Sanders  both of Sugar Grove, PA; 4 grandchildren, Jacob Thorp, Kearra Milks, Abigail Marsh,  and Elizabeth Marsh and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Chris Sanders and Hobart Sanders.

A memorial service will be held at the Recreation Hall of the Sugar Grove Free Methodist Church on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at 2 pm.  McKinney Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Inc. in Sugar Grove have been entrusted with all arrangements.  Inurnment will be in the Wesleyan Cemetery.  The family suggests memorial donations may be made to the Sugar Grove Volunteer Fire Department.

Sorry to hear of Marvin passing. He was one of my brother Robin’s best friends and he came out and worked at our farm back in the late 60’s and early 70’s.

He always had a smile and something nice to say to me, and my sister Irene when we were in town.

Thinking of the Sanders family at this time. Marvin was in my class at Lander and Eisenhower.

Our very sincere sympathy to all of you at this sad time. Marvin always would say hello and would ask how my mother, Rhea Lord, was doing while she was still alive. He was a great friend to my brother, Robin, while they were growing up. We are sending prayers your way.

Sorry to hear of your loss of Marvin. He would always do his Marvin chuckle at my freckles when he came in the Bowling Alley for coffee, cracked me up.
