Dear Chad, Tyler, Sean, Nicole:

I am so very saddened to learn of Connie's passing. I reflect on her loving example as a mother and grandmother. I met Connie when Tyler was a small boy. I had the privilege of caring for him in my daycare. Each day I would observe her deep love for Tyler. Her loving nature didn't stop with him. As I write this I am looking at some dried roses from many years ago. Connie had brought them to me one day to thank me for caring for Tyler. I have kept this gift for years to remember her kindness that warmed my heart.

It is clear that this dear woman will be missed by all who knew her. How true the Bible's words are at 1 Corinthians 15:26 when it speaks of death as an "enemy." The days ahead will be difficult without her. May you find comfort in the beautiful memories you shared together as you adjust one day at a time while drawing strength from one another.
