Carol Sue Nystrom, 78, a resident of The Cambridge in Warren and formerly of the Sugar Grove Area passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at The Cambridge. Born in Jamestown, NY on February 24, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Beatrice Roberts and Walter Anderson; and, she was raised by the late John and Elizabeth Meabon Leyman.   When she was younger she loved horseback riding and competing in numerous horse shows. She especially loved her horse Pal. She was an avid animal lover. She loved spending time with her family and friends they always came first no matter what. In her spare time she loved taking bus trips with her best friend Mary Seder to various places on the east coast especially the casinos. They would shop and hang out every weekend and go to the movies. She spent countless nights staying up late by the campfires with her family, friends and pets. She was known for her selflessness and always being happy. She would do anything in her power to help out others before herself. She loved going to eat at the Bucket Cafe where she worked and visiting her friends and co workers. She is so greatly missed by everyone. The only thing she ever asked for was to be around her family. Surviving are 2 sons, David J. Nystrom of Warren and Daniel P. Nystrom of Venice, FL; a sister,  Dara Anderson of Lakewood, NY and formerly of New York City;  a half brother, Donald Anderson; a step brother, Melvin Roberts of Florida; 2 daughter-in-laws, Lisa Nystrom of Warren and Beth Black of Venice, FL; 6 grandchildren, Cryspin Nystrom, Margaret Whitesel, Imari Nystrom, Briar Nystrom,  Jaya Nystrom and Kyle Turner; 3 great grandchildren, Emily, Peyton and Aurora; and 3 cousins, Marcia Ohman, Sandra Scheleno and Arlie Caswell.  In addition to her parents and birth parents, she was preceded in death by a step brother, Thomas Roberts.  Friends are invited to call Wednesday, August 23rd from noon - 2 pm  at McKinney Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Inc., 117 Main Street in Sugar Grove where a  memorial service will follow at 2 pm. to all of Carol's family,
So sorry to hear of the loss of your loved one and of a classmate. We both graduated in 1956 from Falconer High School. If I remember, Carol's family build a home on the Gerry-Levant Road and I visited her there once. I lived off that road on Knight Road.

David and Danny,
I was so sorry to hear about Carol Sue, she was one of the most genuinely nice people out there. My son, Adam and his friends, would go over to the Bucket in Sugar Grove, just to see your Mom. She would stop whatever she was doing to talk to him and his buddies. They always felt welcome by her. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. I will always remember her smile. I know her biggest love was her family. She will be missed. Wendy
