I want to offer my condolences to the Meier family and friends. It is a painful thing to lose a love one in death. Our heavenly Father of tender mercies has given us comfort through the scriptures. He calls death an enemy and that it will be taken away forever(1 Corinthians 15:26; Isaiah 25:8). Look at this promise he has given to awaken our love one from asleep in death__ Hosea 13:14 “From the power of the Grave I will redeem them; From death I will recover them.” I hope these words give all of you comfort and hope.

I have just become aware of Charlie's passing. I am so sorry for your loss. I am sad that Charley and I didn't reconnect as adults. Distance was our enemy. We had so much fun when we were kids. Charley, Mark, Vera Lynn and I would "run like the wind" in the summer when we were at the farm. Gramma and Grampap could hardly keep up. I remember skinny-dipping in the creek together in the hot afternoon....riding the ponies....jumping from the hay bales in the barn, down the hatch into the pig pen...and playing "fort" all day. I hope that he and Mark are together and I know that they are both...heaven's favorites!
