Paul E. Hultberg, 83, of  Dobson Road, Sugar Grove, PA, passed away  Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at WCA Hospital in Jamestown, NY. Born in Chandlers Valley, PA on April 22, 1933, he was the son of the late Ernest and Edith (Finlan) Hultberg.  Following High School graduation, Paul served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War where he was honorably discharged on May 16, 1961. After his servicetime, he was employed as a lineman with Warren Electric Coop for many years, retiring in 1995. After his retirement, he enjoyed his work, helping at the neighbor's farm, Hobart Carr. He was a member of the Stateline Drafthorse Club.  He was a 50 year member of  the Sugar Grove American Legion Post 758. He enjoyed his morning breakfast  with the Breakfast Club at the Bucket; and, he loved traveling all over attending horse pulls. Surviving is a step-son David (Margaret) Darr of Florida; 3 step-daughters, Brenda  Darr of Warren, PA, Tammy  Johnson of Pleasantville, PA and Laurie  Darr of Warren, PA; 4 children; Betty Jane Reitz, Clarendon, Laura Hultberg, Youngsville, Larry Hultberg, Washington, DC, and Trudy Richmond, Pittsfield, ME; 1 brother,  James Hultberg of Pittsfield, PA; 1 sister, Shirley Byers of North Tonawanda, NY; and many grandchildren and  great grandchildren including his grandson,  Justin Darr of Sugar Grove and 2 great great grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, he was preceeded in death by his wife, Ruth  (Morse) Hultberg;  2 brothers, Fred Hultberg  and  Ellwood Hultberg; 2 sisters, Betty Reed and  Mildred Clough; a grandaughter, GeorgeAnne Opalenick; a grandson, Robbie Reitz; and a step-son,  Sumner Darr. Friends are invited to call  on Thursday  from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at  the Sugar Grove Branch of McKinney Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Inc. where a funeral service will be held at 11 am  on Friday, November 4, 2016.  Burial will follow in the Chandlers Valley Cemetery.  Those wishing to place memorials may do so to the Sugar Grove Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 259, Sugar Grove, PA or the Sugar Grove Free Library, PO Box  313  , Sugar Grove, PA  16350.  Family and friends may send an online condolence or send flowers by visiting our website at www.mckinneyfuneral.com

We are so saddened to hear of pauls passing. He wil be missed so much. He was a very dear friend to my dad bill peterson and his family. Thoughts and prayers are with his family

To all the Hultberg families: I was saddend to learn of Paul's death but happy to have gotten to talk with him last summer in Busti at The Porch ice cream stand. Sorry that I wont be able to make it to the funeral
home viewing but am sending my sympathy to all of you in this big family.
