Raymond Leroy Shaffer, Sr. born September 28, 1952 in Kane Pennsylvania to the late Ethel Marie Lindemuth and Charles Hulben.  After a long fight with cancer and COPD, he passed away peacefully December 28, 2011 at his residence in Pittsfield, Pennsylvania with this wife and son by his side.


Raymond Leroy Shaffter, Sr. went to Kane area high school, and worked at Land and mineral sawmill in Kane Pennsylvania.  In August 15, 1987, Raymond Leroy Shaffer, Sr. and Sharon Lou McKim were married at the Salvation Army Church in Warren, Pa.


Raymond Leroy Shaffter, Sr. is survived by his wife:  Sharon Lou Shaffer, his children, Chris Walton, Mark Shaffer, Raymond Shaffer, Jr., Jennifer Walton, Mindy (Shaffer) Currie, Richard Walton, David Walton, Amy Creesley, Chris Ann Howard, and Raymond Charles Shaffer; his sisters, Wilma Battko, Anna McKendree, and Fay Harvey.  He was preceeded in death by one sister, Dorothy Shaffer. 


Those we love remain with us, for love itself lives on, and cherished memories never fade, because a loved one's gone.  Those we love can never be, more that a thought apart, for as long as there is a memory, they'll live on in the heart.  We love you Raymond Leroy Shaffer, Sr.

It was such a wonderful day, the day I met you!! Later we met again with some similiar circumstances, were we meant tp be friends--- I think so. So sad to know of this, but just know that all the people you touched will remember you!!!
