William E. Colvin, 91 of 701 Rouse Avenue,Youngsville, PA, previously of 12245 Rt. 27, Grand Valley, passed away on Friday, March 9, 2012.
He was born on September 20, 1920 in Warren, PA, the son of the late William B. and Cora (Catlin)
Colvin.
He worked in the oil fields for most of his life and retired from Irwin Company in Garland, PA.
He is survived by 2 daughters, Collen Colvin of Grand Valley, Sally Luce
of Cambridge Springs, and 4 sons, Michael J. Colvin (Beth Birchard), Grand Valley, Howard Colvin (Connie) of Torpedo, Edward Colvin of Grand Valley, and Walter Colvin of North Carolina. Also surviving is a brother, Brian Colvin, 8 grandchildren: Michael, Douglas, Richie, Billy, Jarred, Caleb, and Josh. He is also survived by 5 greatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Colvin, his parents and siblings: Evelyn Jarzinka, Howard Colvin, Ann Short, and 4 sons, an infant son, John, Thomas, and William Colvin.
Friends will be received at the McKinney Funeral Home, 54 W. Main Street, Youngsville, on Monday from 1-5 pm with a funeral service following immediPage: 1ately at 5 pm. The Rev. Ralph Culp of Grand Valley UMC officiating. A
private burial will take place on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at 11 am in the Newton Cemetery.
